Feel guilty for getting daughter to wear jeans instead of party dress and everyone else was wearing dresses? Just got back from dropping my 6 year old at a party. She had wanted to wear her new party dress but as it is a bit windy cold today I said it would be better if she wore jeans and a new top. The jeans are really nice and funky. When we got there, all the girls were dressed up to the hilt in funky dresses. Now I feel guilty even though she didn't mind wearing the jeans instead. I felt that she was a little bit disappointed when we got there which is why I now feel guilty... Was I right to say for her to wear jeans? I also thought that she might get the dress dirty because its an art party and didn't want her to get glue etc on it, especially as we are going out tomorrow night with family and thought she could wear that dress then... What do you think?
