Girls Dress

What style of clothes do I wear with white dress shoes?

I recently purchased white dress shoes. What sort of clothes do I wear with these? I'm a male by the way -- and I only need them for a smart casual setting.

  1. Well make sure whatever you wear has a bit of white in it. If its a suit wear a black suit with a white shirt or tie underneath, or a dress maybe something black and white, sorry not sure if its a guy or girl asking the question.
  2. I NEED A PIC OF SHOES HERE, but by any case anything really
  3. Well, it depends on if these are perfectly white with no other colors. For instance, if it had light pink on it, you could maybe wear a pink outfit that maybe had the same pattern on it. If it's perfectly white then wear a outfit that has a bit of white in it.
  4. are you male or female?!
  5. No white after labor day...so if they are solid white, wait til spring to wear the shoes or anything that would go with them.
  6. if theyre flats, i would wear some darker colored skinny legged jeans with a cross back babydoll dress/shirt that would look adorable with some bangles around your wrist for glam
  7. Anything goes with white, but turquoise really pops.
  8. I am in the fashion industry. Listen up: 1. The rule about "no white after labor day" is old and tired. Nobody in the fashion world says this anymore or lives by it, so ignore anyone that tries to enforce this or other silly-sounding rules like it on you. 2. Yes, wear something WHITE with your white shoes. You don't have to wear all-white, but something that has white in it. It is nice if the white can be seen from the front and the back. (Without a photo/description of the shoe, I really can't make specific recommendations) 3. Don't wear white dress shoes often. They draw a lot of attention to the feet, and people shouldn't be looking at your feet when they look at you. If white shoes require pantyhose, do not wear a shade of pantyhose that is darker than your skin tone. 4. If these shoes are open-toed, do not wear pantyhose at all. (That last rule is true for shoes in any color.) These are all ways to help you dress in a flattering way. I hope it helps.
  9. The old rule about not wearing white after labor day is old, but NOT tired. Just look around you. Look and see who has on white in October versus who has on white in May. Also, go in any department store, mall, even Wal-mart and look for pure white shoes and clothes (pants, skirts, dresses)--you will not find a whole lot. Maybe on the clearance rack--and this is out of an entire store. Of course you're free to wear whatever you want, but white in the fall and winter isn't worn. You're best with going for off-white or a winter white. I work in a national department store, and all the clothes for this time of year are earth tones, and darker colors in general. After the first of the year the colors will brighten as they put out spring attire.
