Where are some stores that sell nice party dresses in Paris?

In April, I'm going to visit friends in America and I need a nice party dress for a teenager. Today I went to Les Halles and La Defense but I couldn't find any stores that sold any. All of the dresses are too casual. Thank you :)

2. you should go in the XVIème arrondissement, the VI oi VII, not in "Les halles" !! Go to rue de Passy for instance, at Franck et Fils. That's one of the places where the haute bourgeoisie and aristocrats shop for the high-end teenagers soirées. 3. Well.. Les Halles is a cheap area for shoping, and La Defense is mostly a buisness district! Try "Les Galeries Lafayette" and "Le printemps" in the Hausmann Boulevard (near the Opera Garnier): those are very famous french department stores (like Macys' or Saks). You should also go to Saint-Germain-des-Prés (a district in the 5th&6th borough) and glance at fancy stores such as Kenzo, Burberry, Max Mara, etc. Of course those brands are really expensive but there are sales right now in France so you should take advantage of it!
