Good place in LA to find vintage/party dresses?

I need to get a nice party dress for a party that's coming up, but i'd like to find something other than the ordinary, bland Macy's/Nordstrom's style dresses. Does anyone in the LA area know of anywhere that sells interesting or unique vintage style dresses?
