How did girls dress up in the 1980s?

It's Decade Day at school tomorrow and I'm planning on doing the 1980s since the 1990s seem pretty recentish. So I'm wondering how exactly did girls dress up in the '80s? I'm kinda going for the preppy look with the side-ponytail and yeah. I can't go out to the store to buy stuff (it'd be pointless anyway) so is there also a way to look like an '80s girl without going out to buy the necessary... items?

  6. Borrow a sweater from your dad or boyfriend, let it slip off one shoulder, push up the sleeves to your elbows, and sort of scrunch it up and belt it around the waist. Then do a miniskirt-leggings combo with ballet flats. Fluff your hair before you put it in a side ponytail. :]

  12. spandex, or Leggings, wiht a big long sweatshirt, ancle warmers and high heels. add a big long necklace too! you also need to poof out your hair, spiky, or poofy hair was big in the 80's
  13. does anyone remember the bangs? all i remember from the 80s was my babysitter using so much hairspray for their bangs that there were little white flecks lmao and from the top of their bangs to the bottom of their bangs it was like a foot long lol bright colors, parachute jackets, etc. leggings too, i think
  14. Make your hair REALLY big..... curl it, put in a lot of hair spray, if you have bangs, curl them too and make everything really big. wear bright colors, maybe stretch pants or stirrup pants with big socks on top, and a big colorful shirt. You can also wear a headband too.
