What's the difference in the way that American and European girls dress?
I saw an article in which it says that: "I love the way girls in London dress. It's so different to the American 'blow-dry and immaculate grooming' thing," says the English-born Weisz. So what's the difference?

- Americans tend to really gear themselves towards trends and only trends without much overall expression. It tends to be more conformist as opposed to Europeans.
- Don't know about English girls im from N.Ireland we dress fashionable but comfortable
- I have been do both countries. Usually the European designers and people there dress in a more mondern-vintage fashion. It looks chic and trendy, rather than wear plain or baggy clothes everyday. This is why the fashion here is starting to become skinny jeans and flats--> to adapt to the European style sense. Once you start seeing it more often, you'll be able to notice as well. hope that answers your question, did the best i could!
- Europeans are more natural looking. Last time I was in London, I noticed that businesswomen with skirts do not wear any nylons or pantyhose. Just bare legs.
- girls in London dress classier than girls in America and what that quote means is girls in America care all about looks which is not true at all
- Immaculate means flawless, so it probably means Americans dress to be perfect, and Europeans have a different view of beauty. In America we tend to follow trends more, and have a stricter sense of what looks good. Europeans in general are more fashion and culture oriented, meaning they're more open to different styles, and people there wear more classic and vintage clothing.
- I think European girls dress in a manner to reflect their own personal style. American girls tend to follow trends (just look at some of the questions here on Yahoo! Answers, its overwhelming). They are more interested in cookie-cutter styles such as prep, "emo", scene, boho, greek (gladiator sandals and the flowy white dresses), military, and many more. To see this difference, check out The Sartorialist's blog. He is a photographer from New York who takes pictures of random people. Look more at how the Europeans dress, because the American girls he takes pictures of dress uniquely, like the Europeans. http://www.thesartorialist.blogspot.com/
