Why do some girls purposely dress cute then act like they don't want to be looked at?

I was just noticing that. It seems like some of the really attractive girls will dress in a certain way like short shorts and a wifebeater on, then act like they don't want to be seen. This doesn't make sense to me since they purposely dressed that way. Can someone explain why they act like that?

well because not all girls dress for guys! novel concept huh? maybe the girl is shy but she wants to wear shorts and a tank top. which by the way is not "flashy" or "sleazy" at all. because it sounds like where you live is pretty hot. so girls sound like they have pretty good reason to dress the way they do. Because of the temperature not to please you.
Maybe they are dressing up for themselves, lol. Personally, when I dress up, I want to be checked out by boys you know? And at the same, to feel pretty and confident. Both ways. Those girls want to be looked act, trust me -- they are just acting all .. hard to get and all that girly stuff.
They want the attention, but they don't want to seem conceited. Alot of girls will dress provocatively or a certain way to get attention from guys or from other girls. But they only want the positive attention, so they'll try and pretend they didn't want to be noticed so that they can avoid being called vain or conceited. I know girls who do it all the time. They're pretty much being fake.
ha ha i don't get it either n i am a girl...idc if people look at me...i don't like it but i wont make a big deal but...ya sorry im bored....
It's all a game! head games! Whether they mean it or not, they are playing games. Why would a girl dress like that and then act like they WANT to be seen...it could make them look a bit on the desperate side, ya know? Believe you me, they know what they look like before they leave their house to go out and they know if they're dressing like that they will catch a lot of attention, but they certainly aren't gonna act like they want the attention, kind adds to it a lil bit.
okay. you might not believe this . but some attractive girls. not all. dont find themselves that attractive at all. same with me at some times and i dress a certain way when i need a confidence booster.
