How do girls dress in college?

I am going to be a freshman next year in college and I want to know how the girls dress. I only see them wearing hoodies and sweatpants. I like to wear jeans and tee shirts and sometimes I dress up. Do they do that in college? To src8784 I don't care about being in the "in" crowd, I just don't want to be overdressed. I wasn't in the popular clique in high school and I don't ever want to be.

yeap.. in college people just dress in normal clothes... nothing too revealing though...
just wear what you normally wear and what you like to wear.dont change yourself because youre going somewhere new.
I go to Florida Atlantic University and the girls dress there all different ways. It looks a lot like they would have for high school, but I have seen some wear pajamas to class, and one came to class straight from the beach, with shorts & a tank-top over her bikini.....just dress how you want, be your own person. It shouldn't matter what anybody else is wearing, as long as you feel comfortable, and are not breaking any dress code rules.
Honestly, dress however you want to dress. I think the who hoodies sweatpants thing is way too casual. I especially hate when people go in the PJ's. Anyhow, don't be afraid to wear jeans and a t-shirt or even dress up. Anything is fine, no-ones going to judge you. And if they do, tell 'em to piss off.
Don't spend too much time trying to dress like everybody else. Dress how you like and in whatever makes you comfortable. If it is finals time or early morning, you might only see sweats as everybody is tired and stressed out. At other times they may wear other clothes.
you are in college now...the rules of dress code are yours for the making ....this is your time to break out from the box, girl!!!! Start your own trends ....wear your sweat pants inside out , wear your dresses with tennies, flip flops all year round, you get the idea...everything is a go ...have fun expressing yourself!!!!

I really hope you are kidding. No one really cares what you wear in college, most have better things to worry about. The only reason why I figure you would as that questions is so that you can fit in in the "IN" crowds... It is such a clique. Darling I am telling you college is not high school. Only in the girls dorms...I lived there for one semester and said good bye to that trash...If you see sweat pants that is because everyone just goes to class to study not pick up on each other that is what the weekends are for...
College girls seem to dress one of two ways: relaxed and comfortable, or intentionally provocative. I've seen shocking outfits in classes.
That's an interesting question. I always felt that we just wore what we felt comfortable with and sometimes we dressed up, but college makes you more open-minded and people are more interested in individuality than clothes, so you will probably find that your own style will suit you fine. I've even seen girls wear pajamas to their early bird classes (although I wouldn't do it!) I do find that my tastes in clothes have changed dramatically now that I am nearing the end of my college days than when I began. I wear more "earthy" tones, I emphasize the feel of the fabric, and I'm not afraid to show my knees now (which I never would do before!)
why dont you just wear what you usually wear if your that afraid (make sure its not too too revealing the first week or so or few days) as long as it takes to realize that your peers are able to wear such and such..should add up in your mind what your able to wear and not wear >.>...*paranoid answer* lol
