Why do some girls dress so immodestly in church?

They shouldn't dress so sexy in CHURCH, I mean come on, we don't have to be Muslims, but you can at least cover up a little bit. Tonight I saw a girl wearing short shorts at Mass. When I'm at Mass, I want to be focused on GOD, not hot girls.

cause church is a joke. I've had sex in a church, so for them wearing a skimpy outfit isn't really that big of a deal.

For me. Might as well do something in that building that wastes space. I wish they wouldnt wear anything at all.
They are not taught how to dress. And they don't read the bible where it says women should dress modestly.
If you're that distracted by a pair of legs, maybe you need to spend an extra few minutes in the bathroom before going out.

They think it's cute, and they want to look their best for God. They usually don't realize what they are doing, and a lot of them don't really understand the full potential of that it does to the guys. At a church camp I go to every year, they always have "modesty talks". I remember being so shocked after the first one. Girls are not anywhere near as visual as guys are, and they don't always realize what "being visual" means.
1. They haven't been taught righteousness, good character that promotes good moral behavior, in other words, their parents, teachers, have neglected to teach them holiness. 2. They have no fear of God.
You know, I've never been to a catholic mass. I can't imagine how the hot girls are any different there than anywhere else though. If this is your point then you are lost. If the only time a person wants to be focused on their deity, be it god or hermes or whoever, is when they are gathered with other people of that faith; then it is obviously just a show. Maybe you should realize that your god is actually the girls and not the one who is prayed to on the first day of the week.

This is worth addressing. no pun intended. Most women do dress modestly in church. I think it is appropriate to dress semi-formal to formal for church as you are preparing to receive Christ. If possible, no one should be wearing shorts or informal attire in church. We shouldn't judge someone off the street but we should make an honest effort to come dressed ourselves in proper attire. I was listening to one of Steve Ray's talks on the Sacraments. He said he traveled to Jerusalem and felt a lot of peace while there. He said the women all dressed modestly. And, there was no bill boards with half naked women plastered all over the city. But then he traveled to Rome where that peace was not there because there was women walking around half naked and the usual advertisements. This story illustrates how we dress can affect others peace of mind. When we come into a community we should think of the other person before ourselves and how our actions will affect them. If we claim to be Christian yet do not care about our brother then we are deceiving ourselves. The other thing is that a lot of young ladies dress immodestly to attract the lads. The problem is that what they actually attract is not what they want. If a woman flaunts her stuff what she is really saying to a man is the best thing I have to offer you is my body. Therefore they attract men who are only interested in their body. Once the man has her body he is no longer interested in her and why should he be, after all he has already had the best part of her, in his mind. That is why women should dress modestly to show that there is more to them then what meets the eye. Then they will attract men who are more interested in getting to know them rather than men who are only interested in their bodies. We are each at different levels in our spiritual progress. We each have our own flaws and so we need to understand that and be willing to try to reach out and help those who are struggling when we have the ability. A friend once told me something I thought very wise. "Don't hate someone for choosing to sin a little differently than you." Wise advice that most of the world could benefit from.
